Topics included in this workshop:
- What does death mean to you?
- Defitions of death and transition
- Ego and physical identity
- Techniques to assist the active dying process
- Viewing the dying process from the point of view of the therapist, patient and the survivor
- Strategies for assisting the dying patient and those who have experienced loss
- CST/SER techniques for patients experiencing the death process
The students of this workshop will learn:
Clinical Application of CST in the dying process
- How to apply AND (Assisted Natural Death) and hospice strategies
- How we use CST with the dying patient
- How we can treat patients who are suffering or in pain over loss of someone who has died.
- How to work with those suffering "little deaths" as in divorce, job loss, death of a pet, etc.
- How the therapist holds space for the awareness of death for the patient while still being grounded, present, and confident themsleves.
This class is an experiential workshops using CSR listening, touch and dialogue techniques based on the Upledger model of craniosacral therapy.
